Fusion is a student-based organization from UC San Diego that advocates dance as an empowering force through which people of all backgrounds can come together and express themselves. They are a community platform dedicated to creating safe, inclusive spaces for all diverse talents to share their creativity, develop their skills, and connect through a collective appreciation of dance.
I have been working with Fusion for 5 years, 3 of which I worked creating marketing material to promote the event itself. During my time here I've experienced what it's like to both lead and be a part of a team, working on individual projects but coming together towards the bigger picture.

"Heart and Brain" began as a typography poster project that evolved into a fully colored and detailed mock gallery poster.
It follows my journey through the difficulties of feeling emotion and wanting to love (heart) and mental health disorders focused on anxiety (brain). Originally meant to be named "Heart vs Brain" but both are necessary to survive; and it's vital to learn to live with both, even when they argue.
